Welcome to InkFlick (Chinese name "墨动", the "App"), an AI-powered short-drama creation studio that lets you turn ideas into scripts, character images, storyboards, and short videos. InkFlick is developed and operated by Wuxi Nanhara Technologies Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"). Protecting your data security and privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App and how we process it.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using InkFlick. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@nanhara.com or through the in-app feedback feature. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the App.

This Privacy Policy helps you understand the following:

What information we collect and how we use it;
Device permissions;
AI-generated content;
Third-party services and SDKs;

1. What Information We Collect and How We Use It

a) Account information. To use InkFlick you sign in with your email address (and a one-time verification code) or with Sign in with Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides and, if you allow it, your email (which may be Apple's private relay address). We use this solely to create and secure your account and to sync your projects across your devices.

b) Content you create. InkFlick is a creation tool: you provide inputs such as the idea, theme, or premise you enter; documents you import to adapt; and the script content you generate or edit (outline, cast, episodes, and rewrite or continuity instructions). We process these inputs to generate your scripts, images, videos, and voice-over. Your projects and generated content are stored so you can continue working on them.

c) Photos you choose to upload. If you choose to feature a real person as a character, you may upload a photo. That photo is used to generate a character image or video that resembles the person, as described in Section 3 and in our AI Data Processing Statement. Uploading a photo is optional.

d) AI-generated content. The scripts, characters, images, videos, and voice-over InkFlick produces are generated by AI based on your inputs. We store this generated content as part of your projects.

e) Usage and service data. We collect data needed to operate the service, such as the number of generations you make, your Credits balance and history, your subscription tier and status, timestamps, and basic diagnostic logs. This is used for delivering the service, enforcing fair-use limits, preventing abuse, and improving quality.

f) Device and technical information. We may collect a device identifier, app version, operating-system version, language/region setting, and IP address for security, fraud prevention, and to keep the App running correctly.

g) Purchase information. Subscriptions and Credit packs are processed by Apple through in-app purchase. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details; we receive a transaction receipt from Apple to activate and validate your purchase.

2. Device Permissions

InkFlick requests permissions only when you actively use the related feature, following the principle of minimum necessary:

Network access (required) — for account login, generation, syncing, and downloading your results.
Photo library (optional) — if you allow it, so you can select a photo to upload as a character reference, and so you can save generated images and videos to your device.
Camera (optional) — if you allow it, so you can take a photo to use as a character reference instead of choosing an existing one.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Refusing an optional permission only limits the related feature and does not affect other functions. We do not access the camera or photo library in the background; access happens only when you actively use the related feature. We do not request contacts, microphone, or precise-location permissions.

3. AI-Generated Content

InkFlick uses third-party AI service providers to generate scripts, images, videos, and voice-over from your inputs. Please note:

All generated content consists of works of fiction created by AI for creative and entertainment purposes. It does not represent facts, advice, or the views of InkFlick or its operator.
To generate content, the inputs you provide (your idea or imported document, your script content, the images in your project, and any photo you choose to upload) are transmitted to our third-party AI service providers for processing. We do not name specific models, as the providers and models we use may change over time.
We instruct our providers not to use this data to train their models where such a setting is available, and we do not send your email or account identity to the content-generation providers.
AI output can be unexpected or imperfect. We apply safeguards to reduce harmful content, but you should not rely on AI-generated content as accurate or appropriate for all audiences.

4. Third-Party Services and SDKs

We rely on a limited set of trusted third parties to provide the service:

Apple — Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases (subject to Apple's Privacy Policy).
Third-party AI service providers — generate scripts, images, videos, and voice-over from your inputs, as described in Section 3. A photo you choose to upload is sent to a third-party AI image/video service to generate your character.
Cloud storage / hosting — to store your projects and serve generated content.

Each third party processes data only as needed to perform its function and under its own privacy terms.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We store your information on secured servers and apply technical and organizational measures (including encryption in transit) to protect it against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. How We Share, Transfer, and Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: (a) with the service providers listed in Section 4 to operate the App; (b) when required by law or valid legal process; or (c) to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our service.

7. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You may access, correct, or delete your information at any time.

Account deletion. You can permanently delete your account and associated data directly in the App: go to Me → Account → Delete Account, or contact us at support@nanhara.com and we will process your request. Deleting your account removes your projects, generated content, and account information from our active systems. When you request deletion, we provide a short grace period during which you can cancel the request by signing in again; after the grace period, the account and its data cannot be recovered, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

InkFlick is not directed to children. The App is intended for users aged 12 and older (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

We operate globally. Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including by the third-party AI service providers that generate your content. We take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

10. Changes to This Policy and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
